As Multisensor’s successful distributor recruitment campaign continues, we are coming across a wide variety of interesting projects. The latest concerns the measurement of THMs (Trihalomethanes) in drinking water plants in Turkey.

It’s now widely known that THMs in potable water, also known as disinfection-by-products, are related to an increased risk of cancer in people. For this reason governments, in countries where the use of chlorine is widespread, are now taking action to detect, monitor and reduce the amount of THMs in the water at the end of the water treatment process and in the distribution network.

We have been in contact with a motivated and professional company that operates in the Turkish market: Tesla Ölçü Kontrol Sistemleri ve Çevre Teknolojileri San. Tic. Ltd. Şti

After some initial discussions it was clear that there’s a strong need in the Turkish market for a system that can detect trihalomethanes at low concentrations, without the use of expensive reagents and at a reasonable price. Traditional solutions for this kind of measurement includes GC- MS systems (Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry) that are usually extremely expensive and only suitable for sophisticated laboratory applications.

We and Tesla believe that our THM monitor, the MS2000, is the ideal instrument to tackle the THM issue around Turkey and we are today proud to announce that a formal partnership has been established between the two companies.

If you are an operator in the Turkish market and you want to know how Multisensor and Tesla can help you with your:

problems, please get in touch with us and we will do our best to assist.
